Poveglia Island. Poveglia is a small island located between Venice and Lido in Venice Lagoon, Italy. Reportedly, the island is uninhabited and closed to the public as a very dark history.
In 1576, Italy hit by bubonic plague, or called ‘black plague’. Because the disease is deadly and has no cure, thousands of dead bodies start piling up and make the environment worsened.
